ABOUT KAZAKHSTAN
Kazakhstan the largest landlocked country in the world is located in Central Asia and Eastern Europe. It shares borders with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. With a total area of 2.7 million square kilometers, it is the 9th largest country in the world. Despite its vast land the population is relatively small around 20 million people making it one of the least densely populated nations.
GEOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE
Kazakhstan has a diverse landscape including mountains deserts steppes and lakes. The country experiences a continental climate meaning it has hot summers and cold winters. Winters can be extremely cold with temperatures dropping to -40°C in some regions while summers can be hot, reaching +40°C in southern parts. The country is rich in natural resources such as oil, gas, coal, uranium and minerals making it one of the wealthiest nations in terms of energy reserves. Kazakhstan’s natural beauty includes the Altai Mountains the Caspian Sea and the vast steppes which cover nearly 60% of its land.
HISTORY AND CULTURE
Kazakhstan has a rich history dating back to the Silk Road era. It was once home to nomadic tribes and later became part of the Mongol Empire under Genghis Khan. In the 19th century, it became part of the Russian Empire and later joined the Soviet Union. Kazakhstan gained independence on December 16, 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The country has a multicultural society with more than 130 ethnic groups including Kazakhs, Russians, Uzbeks, Ukrainians and Tatars. The official language is Kazakh but Russian is widely spoken in daily life business and education. The majority of the population follows Islam but there are also significant numbers of Christians and other religious groups. Kazakhstan celebrates many traditional and modern festivals including Nauryz (Persian New Year). Independence Day (December 16) and Constitution Day (August 30). Kazakh culture is deeply connected to horse riding traditional music and hospitality.
ECONOMY AND EDUCATION
Kazakhstan has one of the strongest economies in Central Asia, mainly due to its oil, gas, and mineral industries. The capital city Astana (formerly Nur-Sultan) and the largest city Almaty are major economic and cultural hubs. The education system in Kazakhstan follows international standards and the government invests heavily in higher education. The country has many prestigious universities including South Kazakhstan Medical University, Nazarbayev University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Shymkent City is located in south-central Kazakhstan. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
The Objective
To train specialists according to international standards so that they will be able to continue their studies in residency or for doctorate programmes in India or Worldwide.
The Outcome
Graduates will be able to pursue their studies in residency or for doctorate. The graduate is required to be able to give consultation assess clinical cases assign investigations conduct differential diagnoses discuss disease management plans provide first-aid and reanimate in case of emergencies prescribe medicines conduct practical procedures, use ethical and legal principals in medical practice. They can assess psychological and social factors concerning patient’s disease and put into effective medical practice and research the information and medical technologies to conduct relevant activities in social healthcare. Hence, we can say this proudly that our graduates shall be able to work effectively in healthcare system which produce team work skills and communications skillsin both native and foreign languages with an urgent desire to pursue and acquire all innovative methods and ways that will help with further adaptation and independent working.
The Structure of the program
The program includes 360 credits. The whole course is 5 years & 12 months internship It includes 54 months and 10 semesters with additional 48 week of doctor and nurse training practice.
Practice Of License
According to NMC Guidelines in Kazakhstan (SKMA) providing license to practice of foreign students after conducting exam (Exam will be holding in Russia, Kazakh and English Language)

NATIONALMEDICAL COMMISSION
SKMA University of Kazakhstan follows NMC’s guidelines which were published in the gazette notification of November 2021 i.e. 5 years of study and 1 year internship.
The degree of SKMA is equally recognized by the National Medical Commission after screening tests under the INDIAN MEDICAL COUNCIL ACT, 1956. THE THIRD SCHEDULE (See Section 13) Part-I recognized Medical Qualifications granted by Medical Institutions not included in the first Schedule.
